no more teachers dirty looks

the clock is ticking
on my sanity
school ends tomorrow
oh profanity

summer's here
know too well
kids home all week
bloody hell

take deep breath
smile pretty
children excited
vacation city

shoulders straight
must be trooper
school bus rolls up
screaming alice cooper

for a fascinating interview of alice cooper, listen to fresh air's terry gross, here (May 2007). his father was a pastor, his grandfather the head of a protestant church, both missionaries, he claims has traded in his addiction to alcohol for golf (26 years sober).

Gotta love that NPR. My husband had informed me of the golf addiction...years ago. ;)

The title of your post captures my feelings perfectly in irony! Last night my daughter brought me one of my CDs and asked could I please download "School's Out" to her iPod. She played it three times on the dock before I said, "please stop that." I guess now I can download Terry Gross's interview with Alice Cooper for her to listen to as well.

heather - in my case, I fear dirty looks from teachers because I'm not a terribly active parent, at least, not on the school grounds. But really, the teachers I know personally, prefer parents who let them teach without interference. So in reality (or in my mind's justification) I think they're glad I'm not a helicopter parent.
