For Rosa, and for Martin Luther King Jr., and for Shirley Chisholm - and for all of us, you're right.

Beautiful day is I can think of...

Joyous. Emotional. Overwhelmed with feelings.

What a relief! I have never felt involved in a US election before and I think it is partly down to blogging that I have felt so involved in this one - but also I suppose the real sense of fear of what would happen, not just in the US but in the whole world, it the result had gone the other way.

Have a wonderful celebratory day. Ironically it is Guy Fawkes Day here.

I am so hopeful now. I went up and down last night watching the numbers...thinking McCain was winning, then thinking Obama was winning, back and forth....I love today! Today is just the best day in a long, long time!!

Please stop by and read my post today....I'm nervous about it...could use your support in the comments if you agree with me.

I am so happy, so enormously relieved and still soooo tired....the anticipation took a lot out of me!

Yes, indeed!

I voted for McCain because his views mirrored mine more than Obama. However, I'm overjoyed to see Obama take this position, because it gives me hope that my 6-year-old, who is still "colorblind," might remain that way and enjoy a more united America.

I pray that Obama will use his intelligence, his drive, and his power wisely. We ALL need it.
