That is simultaneously the most hysterical & disturbing thing I've seen in a long time...

I hate how much is true of me (and my husband). Although we can stay out pretty late on occasion.

yes, stephanie, its rather sad, is it not? LOL my favorite line is "the farmer's market opens earrrrrrly"

Eewww....that was gross. I liked when he licked the wine bottle.

I think the most disturbing thing might be the blonde wife's bangs. I can't quite figure those out.

why, the flying nun look, of course!

Pretty funny. Perhaps a LITTLE POKE at women in this, as we are the planners?!

I didn't actually find it funny - just disturbing really.

But I do often find married couples very very tedious. Not all of them of course but some are so smug and so dull and so insulated in their own little worlds and seem to have merged their personalities into one. Well, it is usually the women who are like that, the men are often OK if you get them on their own but the women can't seem to have a conversation that is not about the "kids" or "hubby". haha not terms I ever use myself.

I had better go before people start throwing things at me!!!

Disturbing in what sense exactly, rb?

JCK, not being a planner myself, I didn't see the "poke" but you may be right.

Especially when I consider the guy who points to their anniversary date. We all know who makes the biggest fuss about anniversaries!

Oh dear, I just had to watch part of it again to remind myself what I found disturbing.

I think it is horrid. I guess the soundtrack reminds me of Soft Cell's "Sex Dwarf" which is pretty disturbing and it's just the weirdness of them prowling around and the way that "normal" scenes can be made weird and scary.

I do have a sense of humour, honest! Perhaps it is the US/British humour thing?

Do you not find it disturbing?

Maybe it's also because I really loathe the term "husband" and it is used again and again - so perhaps that had a lot to do with it.

Oooh - I just don't know. But it made me feel queasy when I watched it a second time too!

Thanks for clarifying, RB. I hope I didn't make you feel on the spot. I was genuinely interested in understanding the disturbing aspects, especially since Stephanie said it too.

I think my reaction was an immediate laugh at using the parody of a cheap, sleezy porn type feel against the irony of yuppie marrieds looking for parlor game players for their boring early nights in. And there's a reality that hits home. Giving up any semblance of hot, risque sex for the staid existence of monogamy and farmer's market mornings. I just found it hilarious. Monogamy I very happily embrace, but farmer's market mornings? Now that is disturbing !!! LOL

Sort of weird.

It is definately a far cry from mainstream!

Yeah, I understand better now why you find it amusing but I guess with humour it's a very personal thing.

It got me thinking anyway - so that was good.

I've never been to a Farmers' market!!!
