you know... that sensational haiku wednesday?

This week's Haiku theme at Jenn's You Know... That Blog?

Resolutions.

steps on the treadmill
or elliptical for me
burning calories

I usually try to avoid new year's resolutions. The January invitation to February guilt. But this year, in the very back recess of my brain, I heard a whispering.

Get back to the gym.

So far I'm two weeks into success.

More stepping. Less couch dwelling.

Good. Good.

Woot! Yay! Was so happy to see you today! Great haiku :)

I have to get back to the gym too, but first I have to stop trying to kill myself (fell UP the stairs a couple days ago and sprained stuff). Next week for sure. I always feel so amazing after a good workout!

Frankly I didn't make it a resolution because I knew I'd never do it if I was being forced to (even [especially?] if it was a self-imposed rule). I just want to continue the Jenn 2.0 reinvention that was started last year.

Hope that you get to the gym often, and feel your best inside and out. Totally worth it.

Two weeks is a great start. Keep up the great work!

Well, done for sticking to your resolution.

I wish I could go to the gym regularly but I find it so boring and depressing. Maybe, I should find a more exciting gym, maybe a gym where celebrities go...

I don't like to sweat
Exercise of all kinds sucks
Guess that's why I'm fat

No haiku from me - but I say great, great for going to the gym for 2 weeks!

I'm one week back after a lovely December break. I've been sore all week but it's all good. Great job on 2 weeks!!!

I think if it feels good - in the long run - and keeps away that bitter February guilt, then good for you.

(I really do think exercise keeps me from needing [too much ] therapy.)

Happy New Year Woman! I hope you had a wonderful holiday and took some time for yourself.

I like the haiku. What I need to do.

The exercise part. It's an intention for this year. I know it will make me feel better.

I am so proud of you. Being active is so hard for me. I am like a rock. Happy to be where I am, without an urgent need to move.

Great haiku. I was just thinking that no-one had chosen that resolutions theme yet. :O)

I would like to do some stepping -- not as a resolution, but everyday just to make certain I get exercise. This sitting down job isn't good for the circulation -- but I hate going to the gym and want my own machine.

Good for you! I don't make resolutions either, but I've also made my way back to the gym and it actually feels really good.
