It's Jen @ you know that blog's
rescuing me from my usual mid-week blog infarction.
Jen's theme today is "Time."
Ah, time. That fickle mistress. She slows down when I want her to fast forward past the bad stuff, the tedious waiting, the checkout lines, the lady who doesn't get out her checkbook until the checker gives her the final amount, the long days at the office when I'm counting the number of sessions, hours, until I can pack up and head home.
But when I want her to s...l...o...w down, when I'm hurrying to get myself ready for work, when the ticking of the clock whispers, look at me, please, pay attention to me..., time is not my faithful friend. Oh no. She abandons me.

late for work, again

ROFLMBO!!! This is so perfect! We just totally lose track of those minutes, don't we???
great connections, I like this alot!
Terrific!
I avoid the lateness by doing the blog reading and commenting AT work. :o Don't tell! :)
Great post. I'm often dumbstruck at how much time has gone by when I travel in the blogosphere.
Love the haiku, and every other word that came with it. So very true!
Always thrilled when you participate, Doc. Makes my day! :D
Have an awesome day.
Your haiku and mine have much in common! Why do the HAVE TOs always get in the way of the WANT TOs?
Thank you for stopping by my playground. Much appreciated. Love this. It's so true with me I can't see straight LOL. Well done
I know what you mean! Although sometime that's a good thing, I'm currently on an 8hours train trip from London to Aberdeen and I'm using my time wisely to catch up on blogs and the time is passing in a more enjoyable way than sitting waiting - thank goodness for wireless internet!
I so agree about time. For instance, I told my daughter that I would come up and listen to her practice piano in 10 minutes . . . and that was about 30 minutes ago!
But what is an infarction?
from another reluctant chicken farmer
So much fun to read peotry that touches the average person, hiaku's are so much fun and yours was delightful!
Thank you for the word "infarction". I didn't know what it was, and looked it up...interesting!
T'was me who left the anonymous comment. My mouse is playing up, and somehow I pressed the wrong thing. Whoops. Meant to get a new mouse today. Didn't get there so here's hoping I can send this without the same thing happening.
I find "time" very annoying. We supposedly all have the same 24 hours to do things, but I'm not believing it. Love the insight in just a few words!
I love it! And oh so true!
Wonderful! ...and what is it about that lady who waits until everything is tallied and bagged before she begins to look in her enormous bag for her checkbook!?
I cannot believe that I voluntarily get up at 5:30 instead of 5:45 JUST so I can check email and read a couple of blogs.
Perfect Haiku.
Yep, reading and writing blogs, time stands still...until we look up at the clock.
