no comments got you down?

Leave it to TheBloggess to turn no comments into a badge of honor, as her handmade, "no comments got you down" picker-upper blogger-sticker shows, seen here.

Never mind the fact that, last time I clocked into her blog, she had 270-something comments compared to my whopping 8 comments. Sigh.

But, I won't hold that against her. I will just appreciate that her post made my day.

Ooops, hang on, make that 11 comments now. I'm getting there, huh?

Thank you to all of my regular commenters who regularly make my day and to new commenters, too. Always good to hear from someone new.

It's a rough life being a comment-whore!

I'm sure you know that not having comments does not mean you don't have readers-many of the bloggers I know read tons of blogs but just don't comment on all of them.

I do love The Bloggess. Her Britney Spears post is perhaps one of my favorite posts of all time.

sometimes people don't leave comments but it doesn't mean they don't like the material. I enjoy checking my site meter to see what people are reading and if they are clicking on links, so even if they don't comment I can track whether stuff is being read.

Yes you ARE getting there! ( personally I think you are the bomb...)

Comments are good and they make me happy...when I get them. But...sometimes (and I feel really bad about this) I read posts and I really want to comment but...maybe...later...I need to get better at that. Gotta spread the love when we can!!

her badge is great, but all right is two words, not one.

if she fixes that, i will exhale.

It's good for the soul to turn off comments occasionally I reckon. I plan to do that every now and then.

But personally I prefer blogs with fewer comments. With those with lots, a)you feel you need to read them all to check you are not duplicating something b)you don't think your comment matters c)they tend not to interact with you personally. You always reply to comments and for me, that is great. Otherwise it is just like writing on a wall - you don't even know if your comment has been read.

The quality of a comment box is actually a key factor for me in choosing blogs to read and quality very very definitely does not equate to quantity!

I know how you feel, I don't get many either! I think you do though! I think your average is upper-teens! I would like that!

Well I am glad I found you, maybe I should go back to drinking coffee!
I was over at Three Dog Blog, reading, and noticed your comment.
I like comments too, I have a feeling you have a lot of loyal readers..
see ya around! :)

jenn -- ya got that right! ha!

mrs g -- no, I do not know that. would you repeat that, please? or maybe do a post on it?

queers - thanks for the encouragement. I'd like to say it's helping, but.....

vodka mom -- I do appreciate the commenting twice, and yeah, I "get it" so thanks!!

dkuroiwa -- I'm guilty of the same. Sometimes I can't think of a comment-worthy-comment. Not witty enough, whatever. so I don't. But yeah, need to work on that.

laurie -- always the editor.

rb -- I knew I could count on you for sensible feedback. That is to say, quit worrying about quantity and be happy I get such quality commenters, such as yourself. thanks!

ann -- upper teens so long as I am replying. catch my drift?

far side -- thanks for stopping by! I should clarify, I'm not a big coffee drinker, per se. I say that after having had a glass of iced coffee just this afternoon. I love coffee yogurt more than the air I breathe, but I'm not a big cuppa joe drinker. Occasionally. But not first thing in the morning.

I always come back and catch up. And this was fun. Just remember...not many comments does not reflect on how many actual readers you have. Some may be shy. :)

And look...I'm going to comment even a week after you post this. ;)

I understand the comment envy thing. It just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy when I get comments.

Thanks for stopping by my place. :)
